Get Involved

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Girls on the Run of Marion County! Our volunteers are a diverse group of dynamic women, including teachers, athletes, parents, and business people. You don't need to be a runner to be a role model or to help build this organization. All positions are volunteer- based, and all volunteers must submit to a criminal background check. If you are interested please contact us and we will send you an e-mail with the next steps. For more information contact Janaule Bennett at janaule.bennett@girlsontherun.org

Girls on the Run Coach

Being a coach offers the most interaction with the incredible girls who participate in Girls on the Run. Each coach possesses great enthusiasm, strong character, and the joyful spirit necessary to serve girls effectively. All share the desire to work with girls from different races, cultures, and social and economic backgrounds. Coaches participate in a thorough screening and training process, which includes a detailed application, a criminal background check, and a list of references before leading a Girls on the Run program. Coaches must be CPR certified. See coaches’ job description for more details.
